Addison has been working very hard on getting her top teeth in. You can see them but they just haven't broke through the gums yet. I have been freezing her teething ring, and she is just recently really putting it to use.

Duck...Duck...GOOSE!
I took Trevor and Addison to the botanical garden near our house to get some fresh air. Plus, we had to miss our playdate yesterday since Trevor was sick, and they all met at this place.
McKenzie was out and about the neighborhood with her friends since they all were out of school today...she wanted to hang with them more than she wanted to hang with me! (sniff sniff)
The drive over there was really pretty. I am embarressed to admit I haven't even been here before, but was excited to check it out. There was a path to the lake, and so I snapped a few pics along the way...

Addison was happy to get out of the stroller a little while, because the path was a bit bumpy. I'm sure her cheeks were sore from jiggling so much!
Almost there...We made it!One of my friends mentioned taking stale bread to feed the ducks....when we first got there, there was one little duck waddling around.
But boy oh boy, did we see ducks! And apparently, they saw us too...and smelled the bread! Thank goodness they were all very friendly and very patient. I had a slight anxiety attack as they all started up the hill toward us. I was trying to think ahead as to what I would do if the ducks started to get too hostile! But luckily, that plan never had to be implemented.

Here, Trevor is telling the ducks, "I'm sorry, there is no more bread!!!"
They all hung around a few minutes just to make sure we really were out of bread. I am guessing they get fed a lot from visitors!I don't know where this mother goose came from, but Trevor said, "Whoa Mom! Look at that big one!!!!"
It was a lot of fun and I think we'll have to come back again soon to see our little duck friends...and "Mother Goose".

Ho'omaluhia Botanical Garden
Here are some of the plants and trees we saw on our walk through the Ho'omaluhia Botanical Gardens this morning. This is just a couple miles from our house here in Kaneohe! I don't know what all of these are, because one, they weren't all labeled, and two, I would not be able to remember all these anyways. Trevor and I just thought they were neat, and so we took pictures of them!
Trevor Update
I thought Trevor was on the mend yesterday after his Wednesday sickness, but Thursday night he got a fever of 102! And he just had the pitiful look on his face that just made you feel so bad. It took a lot of begging from me to finally get him to take some medicine, and when his fever finally broke, he was up off the couch. But that didn't last long. After a couple hours he was back on the couch and fell asleep. Nick took him to bed, and he slept all night.
Today Nick has a full day of Safety Stand-down...where they learn motorcycle safety and things like that. It's required for all marines, for the upcoming 4 day weekend they will be getting. I think it's to do their part in preventing them from doing stupid things on their weekend off! Not that any of them would...
Then Nick has GDO. So he will be on duty all night and will probably come home and sleep most of the morning.
This weekend will be interesting as far as the weekend warrior goes. I know he wants to finish the drywall in the garage. He has to mug and tape it all now. (yuck)
Then there are rumors about demolishing the main bathroom if we get the go ahead from the plumber....we want to make sure he is available to come and do his part before we make one of the bathrooms OUT OF ORDER!
As for today, McKenzie, who does not have school today, and I will be showing off our skills on Wii ROCKBAND!!! Nick brought that home after work yesterday...impulse buy.
Just a side note: I'm awesome on the drums, Kenzie rocks the guitar, and Nick is our singer!
I'm sure the neighbors hate us right now, as we were up jamming until after 10:30PM! Oops! That's all for now...the drums are calling.
Stay tuned...

The NewlyWeds are here and gone again!
My brother and his new wife (as of May 31st) arrived in Honolulu yesterday afternoon for their 'official' honeymoon. They stayed with us last night and today they are taking th eSuper Ferry to Maui until Monday.
This morning they headed up to the Pali Lookout and drove around the East shore. Then we took a quick trip to the base to get some essentials for their trip! Snacks, sunglasses, etc.
I am so excited for them. Maui is so beautiful! I can't wait to go back there myself. I hope they have a wonderful time!!!
Subject Change:
Trevor woke up yesterday morning calling the dinosaurs! Yes, vomiting! I don't know what he had, but it really knocked him out. Poor little guy couldn't keep anything down until last night, when my brother made him some toast. He took a 3+ hour nap in the late afternoon and then went to bed at a decent time last night and slept all night. Today he is feeling much better, but I kept him out of school again today just to make sure he is 100%. I think he is still recovering, because when we returned from the commissary around 1pm, he crawled up on the couch, and fell asleep. I didn't even ask him to lay down. Nick thinks he just partied too hard at his birthday party on Sunday.
Earlier today, he help up 5 fingers and asked if he was that many yet. I told him, "No, you are 4 now!" He looked at me sort of disappointed like, and said "Still?" Which is funny for him, because according to him, he has been 2 for 2 years, and never was 3. No matter how much I would argue with him that he was 3, he was very sure that he was always 2.

Weekend Warrior (sorry it's late)
Nick got an early start to his weekend by taking leave on Friday. Earlier in the week, he had put up the cabinets he got last weekend, via craigslist.com. Here are pics of those up already. Friday after his regular trip to Lowe's, he built his work bench. He had that up in a matter of minutes! Above that is one set of cabinets, with a matching set on the other side of the window.
Here you can see the upper cabinets he put up. These are on the back wall as you come into the garage...the staircase up to our bedroom is just on the otherside.
Friday afternoon, he had a fellow Ugly come down and help him put up the drywall in the garage.
Saturday was another day of putting up the last little pieces of drywall and organizing the new work bench Nick built.
Sunday was all about the birthday party.
Monday he was back to work.
Tuesday we had the window guy come to put a safety shield on the windows at the top of the stairs.
Today, we have the plumber coming to look at our downstairs bathrooms we plan to gut in the next couple weekends, and tell us what we need to do for that.
What's left on the additon before we can get the inspector to sign off?
1) Railing in the stairway
2) Drill holes in the eaves up in the addition

More Pre-School Songs
I figured out what music CD Trevor's teacher plays at his pre-school. I searched for one of the songs Trevor was singing one day on LimeWire, and downloaded other songs off the same album. By doing so, I realized he knows a lot more songs!!!
Here is another...
I'm In The Lord's Army
As you can see, he was really into watching himself!
My God is So Big

Family Portraits...LMAO!
Tonight I used the webcam on my computer to trick Trevor into singing some of his songs. I can record him while he watches himself on the computer screen.
My webcam also has a fun program where it twists the image in all sorts of ways...and we really had a lot of fun with that tonight....
We could have gone all night making hilarious faces....but the kids have school in the morning, so we had to pull the plug on this! I'm sure there will be more in the future! Hope you get half the laughs we did making these! Oh....we're nuts.

And we just couldn't stop...it got so crazy, that we had to set a timer so the kids wouldn't fight over whose turn it was.
Can you tell who these are? Some are more obvious than others!

A Day with Andrew
Monday our friends Drew and Alaina went to do their final walk through on their brand new house in Waianae. That is clear out on the West side of Oahu....clear out there...far, far out there. Okay, sorry Alaina, I promise we'll still come visit you sometime!!! So, Andrew stayed with me for a little while. He was sad to see his mommy and daddy leave, and spent most of the morning standing at the door watching for them to come back....
But, after a while, he gave in. He hung out with Trevor when he got home from pre-school. They had lunch together, and played outside, chased Molly, and had a good ol' time! But boy was he happy to see his mommy and daddy get back!!!
