Nick and his Mother
Once we got home, Addison would NOT let him out of her sight. She followed him all over the house. It wasn't even 5 hours that he had been home before he was fixing the ceiling fans. (We had one fan in the family room that was possessed and would start and stop whenever it pleased)Addison was right by his side, and sometimes had to be right in his arms while he fixed it.
Always had to have a hand on him...
The day he came home he tried to sneak away from Addison to go upstairs and take a shower. She was soon pacing the hallway saying "Daddy? Daddy? Where you? Daddy? Daaaadeeeee?" And when I told her Daddy was up taking a shower, she ran straight to the door trying to pry it open it. Once successful, she was quickly making her way upstairs and ran into the bathroom and ripped open the shower curtain and screamed, "There you are!!!!!!"
(Now he knows how my life has been the last 7 months.... sometimes you can't even go to the bathroom or take a shower without having some visitors! NO PRIVACY!)
This morning she was helping him check his emails...
Napping with Tyler the day he came home...
Here is a delicious "Welcome Home" gift Nick got from his sister and her family...

Kim,
I just love the pictures they are so great. I can't imagine the emotions you have with him being home. I cried like a baby looking at all the pictures might be the hormones with me :) Hope all is well, hopefully Addison doesn't have too many bruises from Nick runing into his new sidekick :)
Love you all

It was good to talk to you last night. The kids can not wait until all of you are back in Iowa.

Abigail was exactly the same way she threw and absolute fit when he went to take a shower that first day and refused to leave him alone when he tried to take a nap later on.
Now I would expect Trevor or Addison's face to look like that, but Nick? Really! We're so glad he's home safe, and looking forward to you guys coming closer to the east coast. Our Community Band is planning a trip the DC area next summer, so we'll make it a point to see you then!
