Playgroup at Ho'omaluhia Botanical Gardens

This week playgroup met at the Botanical Gardens here in Kaneohe. It was overcast and of course rained on us as soon as we got out of the car and started walking toward the lake. We took shelter in the pavilion. As soon as we made it there, the rain stopped and the sun came out... along with the DUCKS!

Addison thought it was pretty neat that the ducks came up so close!

I brought along the bubbles...

Addison just plopped right down in the middle of the flock and just watched them eat bread!

"Mama! More bread!!!!"

I just love how Addison is looking at Wyatt...

Playgroup at Calvin's

Okay, so I got the old desktop computer up and running so I can still stay connected to the world until I get my laptop back! Yay!

This morning rained hard, but by the time playgroup gathered, it was hot and sunny. There were just 3 littles at the playgroup this week. The others had company in town! We went to Calvin's house for a couple hours to play. I think the highlight was the old piano that each of them took a turn on.

Here, Calvin & Addison played a lovely duet.
Um...excuse me? BUSTED!

After a while, I broke out the bubble machine we brought along and the kids went crazy chasing thousands of bubbles in the yard.

Can this count as our small group picture?

Playgroup at Addison's House

Addison had playgroup at her house this morning. We had 5 in attendance.

Wyatt - Richie - Calvin - Addison - John

Pictures this time was challenging, as they are ALL very active and not big fans of sitting still. By chance, I was able to get them all sitting, AND looking up! But a second later, they were all off in a mad crawl for their Mommies!

Addison and Richie are both taking steps and are not far from walking on their own!

Trevor didn't go to school today, so he was the 'big brother' in the group. He and Wyatt got to play in the big boy playroom. Wyatt should feel honored, Trevor never lets Addi play with his puzzles!

Playgroup - Hannah's Surprise 1st Birthday Party

This morning at playgroup we surprised Sherree (and Hannah) with a little playgroup birthday party! We all met out at Ho'olomaluhia Botanical Gardens at a nice little pavilion with a huge grassy area. We laid out a giant blanket and the kids just played on that.
It was so funny to watch them play together, they are all getting to be so independant and more and more mobile! Wyatt is the only one in the group that is walking at the moment, but the rest of them are not too far behind! They can crawl with the best of them though! Look out!

Taking group photos is proving to be quite a task, this week we decided to stap them all in their strollers and line them up! And we agreed that this was their best photo session ever!

After a few gifts, and some delicious food, it was time for cupcakes!

By this time, I had ran to pick up Trevor from pre-school so that he could enjoy the park as well!

But he must have had a hard day at school, because it didn't take much for him to get mad... here he is pouting behind the little tree. Mr. Drama!

Here, Hannah would open her gift, then Addi would test it out!

Playgroup at Wyatt's

This morning we had our 'every other week' playgroup at Wyatt's house! We had a new gal join us from one of our sister squadrons so it was nice to meet a new spouse and her 9 month old son! That made for a lot of babbling this morning...

Pictured above is Wyatt Attwood, Addison & Lil' Richie Matyskiela

Addison did much better this week about being a team player. She sat in the chair a while and then even laid on the blanket with the others and joined in on all the binky snatching, kicking, and grabbing!

Here is our handsome host, Wyatt, who bailed on us midway through the morning for a nap! So we weren't able to get a group shot today. Hopefully next time around!

Overall it was a great morning. I think Addison is becoming more aware of her surroundings and wanting to participate a little more! Thank goodness...Mommy's arms are really needing a break!
