Happy Halloweeeeeeen!

It was an eventful evening trying to get everyone ready to go trick or treating all by myself.... Can you guess what McKenzie was?
We had a ladybug... and Snow White with 2 of her 7 dwarfs! Trevor was Doc and Tyler was Dopey!
although one crazy lady thought he was a mouse... I guess I don't blame her, but really?

And if you are going to take the kids out trick or treating... you just as well go all out and join them, as the Evil Queen, right!!!
And even though they have school tomorrow, they just HAD to sort their candy! Trevor got 83 peices!
Addison just had to have ONE MORE sucker before bed...
It was a fun night! And we even saw Daddy fly over head on his way back from Chicago while we were trick or treating!!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Sport Stacking Cup Champion in training

Trevor found my stash of plastic cups in my pantry today. Ever since then, he's been stacking and taking them down at ridiculous speeds! (He has me time him) He is so proud, so I already know what I'm going to buy him for Christmas.... speed stacking cups!
However, he needs to work on how he deals with falling cups...
because at this point, it ain't pretty!

And if you are wondering why he is on our kitchen table, if you see below, you might notice little hands reaching up to 'help' Trevor. And that doesn't go over well with Trevor... it tends to cause some of the events that happened above!

Another Halloween Package

We got another package on our doorstep today. So the little ones and I opened it up to see all its treasures!

This was something my my mom set out during the fall! She has passed it down to me so that my little ones will enjoy it too! And they did!In fact, they enjoyed it so much, that I had to make a really loud screaming noise to get both of their attention so I could take their picture LOOKING IN MY DIRECTION!
See? Tyler is like, "What is wrong with you?"

My mom filled a little pumpkin for ALL OF US to SHARE! Addison saw it right as I opened the package and was so excited that Grandma and Grandpa were nice enough to send this overflowing pumpkin full of candy and treats JUST FOR HER!
Also in the package were a couple wooden pumpkin kits! I stuck the ghost one on right away! It's so cute! (I turned one of our pumpkins around. Shhh, don't tell Addison it was hers.

Do you like how I used my plant stand as a multi-purpose pumpkin stand?
The rest of the contents will appear at a later date. I'll need some assistance for some, and others will have to wait until AFTER Halloween!

Thank you mom (Grandma Bob)!

Just Another Day at the Office...

Today Nick had his first presidential lift on the White House lawn. You can see him in the copilot (left) seat in the pictures below.

Nick said he came up to the cockpit and shook their hands.

Below you can see another shot of Nick.

He did a second lift to bring him back to the White House late tonight, but no pictures have been posted of that yet! I'll keep my eye out for them! I am hoping to get a hold of some additional shots as well.

I can't even begin to tell you how excited we are here today! I'm a VERY PROUD WIFE!

Halloween Treats

The kiddos got a surprise halloween package in the mail the other day from Grandma & Grandpa Turner...

They each got a cute Halloween bag with Halloween socks, and lots of treats!
THANK YOU GRANDMA & GRANDPA!

Carving Pumpkins

Tonight after supper we had a pumpkin carving party! Nick cut the tops off, and the kids started scraping out the guts...

Trevor could hardly stand to stick his hand in the slimy goo... (which didn't surprise me after Nick nearly gagged while cleaning out the kids' pumpkins for them)
But Kenzie was ALL BUSINESS!
The guts bucket.... and the seed bowl.

Tyler was terrified of his pumpkin. He refused to stick his arm down the deep dark hole.
So mommy lead by example... no go.
I pulled out some seeds for him to touch, but he still wouldn't stick his arm inside the pumpkin...
I tried putting the seeds down closer... and we even threw a toy in the pumpkin for him to 'fish out'... but he was not playin' that game! So we gave up and Mommy cleaned out the pumpkin!
Then it was on to drawing out the face, and daddy doing the carving...
The kids got to poke out the pieces.
McKenzie's was TOP SECRET until completion, so I had to take this picture without looking... and she lifted the veil just long enough for me to snap the picture!

Addison & Trevor's Pumpkins...
Tyler & McKenzie's pumpkins...
Daddy carved Trevor's initials in the side of his pumpkin!
The final products out on our front steps!
HAPPY HALLOWEEEEEEEEEEN!!

Clark Pumpkin Patch

We took the kids to a pumpkin patch just a few minutes from our house this afternoon. It was a beautiful 68 degrees out! The farm had a huge area full of fun and games to keep the kids busy and entertained!

There was the Penny Pit
...where the kids could search through loose hay for pennies.
I think they had more fun just throwing it on each other.

Trevor and Addison moved on to the bounce house, while Tyler spotted the mini pumpkin patch and made a bee line... and RAN to them.
So many pumpkins....
so little time...
Which one do I want?
Maybe this one?
Oooh! Wait... what about this one?
We fed the ponies...

Had a stare down with the pony...
and he actually stood there yelling at it!
Took pics on the straw ponies...
Ran through the pallet maze (47 times, at least)
Played in the playground area
Tossed out most of the corn in the corn box...
Picked out out little pumpkins before heading over to the BIG PUMPKINS...

There were these benches all along the animals in different colors. He tried climbing up on each one of them!

Went "Bare Bones Bowling" with little pumpkins

Addison wouldn't get her face painted until Trevor did. And she just FROZE in that chair while the gal painted on her cheek. I have never seen Addison sit that still for that long... EVER!
The end results...

Tyler sat on the wagon and kept an eye on our big pumpkins while we searched through the patch for the best carving pumpkins...
We made it out with 5 little pumpkins and 4 BIG pumpkins. The carving will be taking place later on tonight....

Stay tuned!
