Squadron Christmas Party

The Uglies had a fabulous Squadron Christmas Party tonight. There were fried and smoked turkeys, with all the fixings,
2 bouncy houses
shave ice machine & popcorn
karaoke, Guitar Hero,
crafts, and a cake walk.

We even had a CH53-D set up for Santa to sit and see all the kids...below, we took a quick family photo at the end of the night.

Here is Addi checking out her pal "Little Richie". He is about one month older (they were supposed to be due at the same time, but Richie had other plans)
Oh my, how could I forget to mention the pony rides. It was a bit of a pain to get them here, thanks to the 'lovely' cooperation of MCCS (marine corps community services) who, in my opinion, are a bunch of fun haters, but that's besides the point, you don't want to get me started on them!
Whoever knew ponies were wild animals.....(good grief MCCS)

Anywho, we won that battle and here is Trevor having a blast on the beautiful ponies! He was a little apprehensive, but you could see his smiles peeking through!

In addition to the ponies, we even had a reindeer..oh wait, that's Addison (accompanied by Drew Ladner)

My friend Alaina, aka "DJ", was in charge of the kareoke..McKenzie hung with her most of the night as you can see her standing behind Alaina in the grey. She wanted to sing, but was too embarressed!

Now I don't know if you know this, but here in Hawaii, Santa arrives at all the best parties in an aircraft TUG.

Trevor was a little hesitant to see santa (*cough* a voluntold enlisted Marine *cough*) but he did sit right up on his lap and tell him what he wanted.
Addison.....squirmed like a bug and clung to me as soon as we got less then 3 feet away.
McKenzie...reluctantly stood by Santa....reluctantly holding Addison.
What a happy bunch of kids?!

Gosh, I forgot about bowling too. Below is Trevor and Andrew Ladner having a good time setting up the pins they just knocked over.

Here are all the cakes the spouses baked for the cake walk. I think we had a total of 31 cakes...maybe a few more. I made seven. You can see them all here.

It was a great turn out! Even the adults and single marines participated with the kids and everyone got excited about winning!

Trevor spent most of the night in the bouncy houses with his pal Helen, and McKenzie assisted Alaina was kareoke. Nick and Addison mingled while I ran the cake walk. There was so much to do, it was fun for all!
I'm exhausted.....waiting for a birthday cake to finish baking in the oven for another party tomorrow.
Then tomorrow, we have the birthday party to go to.
Then, we will be getting ready for Addison's big birthday bash on Sunday!

When is does Christmas vacation start?
