Old Pali Road Waterfall Hike

My friend Gina stopped by this afternoon with the kids. She mentioned going on the hike to a waterfull just near our house. I have always wanted to do it, and she has been several times, so we took off a couple hours later and headed over there!!!

We parked in a church parking lot just near the beginning of the trail. We gathered up a few walking sticks and were on our way...

Robin & Addison (Addison's 'lil buddy)

McKenzie nearly falling off the bridge in to the depths below!
(Just kidding, she was standing on the ground on the other side)

Gina and Addison on the trail.
Addison kept checking to make sure I was still behind her.

Gina and I traded off with Addison so I wouldn't slip on the muddy parts of the trail.

Addison is a bit of a mama's girl (if you haven't caught on in previous posts) so at times when Gina had to carry her, she was a little upset it wasn't me doing it. But she got over it!

There was more water than usual, and Addison thought it was pretty neat she got to walk through it in her crocs!

Kenzie starting up the waterfall... the two monkeys in the background of the picture on the right would be Robin and Joe. They were like two little monkeys all over the rocks. I don't know how they could scale them so quickly without slipping or getting hurt, but they sure made it look easy.

Addison NOT so thrilled about standing in the little pool at the base of the waterfall.

And still not thrilled about sitting on a rock at the edge.

Trevor went up for a while to check out the waterfall, but was soon ready to come back down.

Okay, we are happy now.

And we can't go on an outing without a snap shot of Trevor and his gal pal Helen!

Beautiful view

Silly Addison hanging out on the rocks.

We hung out at the waterfall for a while so the kids could have some fun. They climbed all over the rocks, found several little frogs to bring home (oh yay) and then we headed back... it was only about a 15 minute hike one way, so it wasn't too bad, even for a near 7 1/2 month pregnant gal! We survived!
